Therapeutic Approach

I believe the mind and body play a critical role in healing and reconnecting to who you really are. Neuroscience, mindfulness, and somatic awareness (information your body may be sending) are essential tools in my work. Clients are supported by a range of theoretical approaches, including EMDR, psychodynamic, self-psychology, client-centered, relational, attachment-based, and CBT. Therapy is tailored to meet you where you are. You are the expert of your own experience, and I value the unique background you will bring to our work together.

Trauma can feel like a psychic theft, altering the course of our lives and changing the way we relate to the world. Relationships can become difficult and confusing. We may crave intimacy and trust, but find ourselves repeating relationships that are unhealthy. It may be difficult to control emotions while experiencing heightened anxiety, depression, shame, or guilt. Through therapy, it is possible to experience psychological relief and a higher quality of life. Experiencing a stronger sense of self, safety, and stability is possible.
